Today they have a reputation for excellence in the fields of dentistry, plastic surgery, dermatology, and cosmetology. In 2017, they have exceeded the number of 16.000 satisfied clients across 4 departments that are currently offering more than 250 different treatments and procedures. The number of employees is continuously increasing and has reached the number of 80 with 25 experts devoted to providing their clients with extraordinary services.

Highest standards of quality

Owing to the highest standards of quality and highly experienced and educated medical staff, Bagatin Clinic is a Gold Member of the Medical Tourism Association (MTA), and has the distinction of being the only certified Allergan Medical Institute for Botox (Vistabel), Juvéderm hyaluron dermal fillers and Mentor breast implants in Croatia. They have had medical specialists from many different countries (Greece, Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Brazil etc.) participating in trainings and learning from their renowned doctors and experts.

Doctor Tomica Bagatin is a certified Allergan Medical Institute trainer for dermal fillers and among the selected few in the realm of Croatian and regional “injectables” training and education. Doctor Josip Lovrić has recently been certified as Radiesse dermal filler trainer and is one of only three surgeons in the world who uses the prototype of the snoring reduction laser, Romeo.

Bagatin Clinic has concluded 2017 with ten of their doctors being acknowledged by the online publication “”, i.e. “” as leading experts in their fields. Furthermore, one of the newest certificates they have obtained is the ISO 9001:2015 certificate, the most widespread international standard that sets the requirements for establishing and maintaining the quality management system. Thanks to this certificate, they have created standards with protocols and procedures for each step in taking care of international clients, from their first contact with the clinic, all the way to the aftercare and follow-up.

Participating in global medical events

Bagatin Clinic has been actively visiting specialized global conferences, workshops and fairs. The year 2017 started with the Health Tourism Industry Conference (HTI) in Rovinj, Croatia and was one of the events where both domestic and international buyers had the opportunity to meet Bagatin Clinic and its services. Next HTI Conference will be held in Zagreb this year with Bagatin Clinic once more in the role of a silver sponsor.

The IMTJ (International Medical Travel Journal) Summit was also held in Croatia this year where they received a recognition for all their efforts in the field of marketing and branding on international markets. Bagatin Clinic was awarded the “Best International Cosmetic Surgery Clinic” and won third place in the category “Best Marketing Initiative” in clinic branding, both equally valuable prizes. In 2018 they will have four entries in four different categories for the IMTJ Awards and hope to achieve even better results.

In order to solidify their positioning abroad and expand their global reach they have also participated at the World Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress in Los Angeles as gold sponsors. In 2018, along with the HTI Conference in Zagreb, Bagatin Clinic will participate at the 4th annual Medical Tourism CE Conference in Berlin. Furthermore, in May, they will take part in the IMTJ Summit held in Athens as gold sponsors and as platinum sponsors in the Central European Tourism Summit held in Zagreb at the end of the year.

Constant professional development

The HR department in Bagatin Clinic continues with creating a new organizational culture through knowledge via Bagatin Academy - a five-year project with a series of modules for educating their employees and all other healthcare professionals from Croatia and abroad, primarily in soft skills, communication, presentation and organizational skills. In addition to this program, their HR team has designed a new educational program, “Back to Basics”, which focuses on sharing knowledge and expertise between team members and different departments to build and strengthen the culture of excellence and top service. The Clinic strives to become a regional educational center for medical institutions increasing the quality of medical offers and services and promoting this region among world medical travelers.

In 2017, they were visited by clients from more than 30 different countries and from every continent. Most of them come from surrounding countries such as Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia etc. They have implemented comprehensive online guides and handbooks as well as translated their website in Slovenian language with the Slovenian market thus experiencing a large YoY.  This year, with the same aim, they will implement all guides and materials translated in both German and Italian. As Bagatin Clinic is a “one-stop shop” for all beauty treatments and procedures a lot of their patients visits the Clinic more than just once, some of them across all 4 departments. With this in mind, they continuously invest in new technologies and are proud owners of the most modern dental and laser center in the region with nine lasers used across all departments.
